This page describes the principles used to decide what information belongs on NairaRate. The goal is a comparison that is useful without presenting a temporary market quote as a promise.

Source-first reporting

Prices are tied to configured sources. We do not manually invent a market number to fill a blank space. When a source is unavailable, that limitation should be visible to the visitor.

Clear separation of fact and interpretation

A quoted rate is data. Statements about why prices differ are explanations based on normal market mechanics, not predictions about where the price will go next. The site avoids promises of profit, guaranteed savings or guaranteed transaction success.

Freshness matters

Where the interface has an update timestamp or age indicator, it is provided to help visitors judge whether a number is recent. A timestamp does not freeze a market price. Visitors should confirm the quote at the source before acting.

Corrections

If a source changes its format or a displayed value appears inconsistent with the source, the issue can be reported through the contact details. The preferred correction is to fix the underlying source or calculation rather than silently changing a number by hand.

Commercial transparency

Advertising, if enabled, is kept separate from the rate comparison. External exchange links are presented as navigation to the source and should not be read as an endorsement of a particular trade.
